8 Leopard Gecko Facts
 Leopard geckos are nocturnal lizards. Meaning they sleep during the day and are awake at night. |  Leopard geckos do not require UVB lighting like other lizards. You don’t even need to buy a daytime light for them if you have a well lit home. You can purchase a day light and night light if you want to though. |  You should keep your leopard geckos tank 80-85 degrees in the daytime and the temperature can drop down to 65-70 degrees at night time. |  They are burrowers by nature and do require hides in order for them to feel safe and secure. They do not require a basking spot, but you can provide them with rocks, heated rocks, and decorations to make them feel safe and secure. |
 Leopard geckos eat crickets, mealworms, waxworms, roaches, and superworms. |  Leopard geckos are very docile reptiles that don’t bight or mind being handled. It takes a ton of provoking to get them to bite humans. |  Two male leopard geckos should never be housed together otherwise they will fight. Female leopard geckos can be housed together and typically get along without any problems. |  Leopard geckos are considered to be a beginner lizard because they don’t require a lot of maintenance. |
